This includes, but is not limited to, identifying target markets, sourcing deals, underwriting select opportunities, and bringing awarded deals to execution.

Prior to joining Student Quarters in 2019, Melanie worked in the multifamily space at Simpson Housing as Vice President of Acquisitions and was involved in over $3B of transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, recapitalizations and JV developments. She began her career at Prudential Mortgage Capital Company (now PGIM) as a Senior Investment Analyst on the Loan Originations Team with a dedication to opportunities across the Southeast in all primary asset classes on behalf of the Prudential Balance Sheet, CMBS Platform, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac and FHA.

Melanie earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in Real Estate and Finance from the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, and a Master of Business Administration from the Scheller College of Business at Georgia Tech.
