Supporting New Parents

At Student Quarters, we understand that returning to work after welcoming a new child can be a challenging transition. That’s why we’re excited to introduce our Return-To-Work Program for new parents. This initiative aims to relieve the stress of returning to the office and provide a supportive, safe space where new parents can bond, share advice, and receive the guidance they need.

Our Return-To-Work Program pairs new birthing parents with experienced SQuad parents, or mentors, for one month after they return to the workforce. This mentoring relationship is designed to provide personalized support, easing the transition back to work.

How It Works

  • Weekly Meetings: Mentors and mentees will meet once a week. These meetings will offer guidance, advocacy for needs, and continuous support in various forms.
  • Personalized Mentorship: New parents will receive tailored mentorship to help them navigate their return to work.
  • Cohort Experience: The program creates a cohort of new parents who can share their experiences and support each other.
  • Guidance and Training: Mentors will help bring new parents up to speed on what happened or changed during their leave.
  • Access to Resources: Participants will have access to new resources, meal trains, and more to support their transition.
